Kobayashi Group to Build Ālia Condo in Kakaako

Kamehameha Schools is partnering with local developer for a new Kaka’ako condominium, Ālia. Kobayashi Group will helm the project. Located near the corner of Ala Moana Boulevard and Ward Avenue, this project will is estimated to offer 477 units, 40 of which will be reserve housing, the remaining 437 are slated to be market price.

Construction is expected to begin in 2023. The project will also feature 3,500 sq.ft. of commercial space for businesses, as well as 50% more recreation space and 70% more open space than required by the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA).

Kamehameha Schools Partners with Stanford Carr for New Kakaako Condo

Local developer Stanford Carr has been chosen by Kamehameha Schools to develop its next condominium tower in Kakaako. Named Kahuina, the upcoming project will be situated on 3.66 acres of land and feature 859 units, 60% of which will be reserved for affordable housing, according to the news release. 35,000 square feet of commercial space is planned to go along with the project.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2023 with a completion date of 2026. Kamehameha Schools and Stanford Carr collaborated on Keauhou Place in 2017 as well as other projects.
